1. Driving Under the Influence (DUI) – Ala. Code § 32-5A-191

  • 1st Offense: Up to 1 year jail, $600–$2,100 fine, 90-day suspension.
     
  • 2nd Offense (within 10 years): 5 days–1 year jail or 30 days community service, $1,100–$5,100 fine, 1-year revocation.
     
  • 3rd Offense: 60 days–1 year jail, $2,100–$10,100 fine, 3-year revocation.
     
  • 4th+ Offense: Felony, 1–10 years prison, $4,100–$10,100 fine, 5-year revocation.
     

➡️ Extra Info: Ignition interlock is often required after conviction. Refusal to test = automatic administrative suspension (for Alabama residents).


2. Public Intoxication – Ala. Code § 13A-11-10

  • Classification: Class C misdemeanor
